Backastugan

Description

Number of people: 4 adults

Backastugan is a culturally protected 18th-century cottage that was used by the poor workers on the farm. It was later used as a summer barn until the 1950s, when it began to fall into disrepair.

In recent years, it has been rebuilt to resemble its original appearance with the help of old documents and information from the elders in the village, including an authentic turf roof.

Today, Backastugan is used as a museum to depict everyday life in the old Tällekullen.

The cottage has running cold and hot water, with electric heating. Outside, there is a shed for firewood, bicycles, and equipment. Garden furniture and a grill are also available.
