Smedjan
Description
Number of people: 6 adults + 1 child under 3 years
Smedjan is a historic log house that has been newly restored. The first blacksmith who moved in during 1847 was Erik Garberg, born in 1807 in Garpenberg, Dalarna. His wife was Anna Larsdotter, born in 1799 in Malung. Garberg became the chief blacksmith at the former Lessebo Ironworks (now Lessebo Paper Mill).
The house has running cold and hot water, an air heat pump with underfloor heating.
Outside, there is a shed for firewood, bicycles, and equipment, as well as a wood-fired sauna. Garden furniture and a grill are available. In front of the house lies a small lake with rowing boats and pedal boats.
